Seroflo Inhaler combines Fluticasone and Salmeterol. It is classified as a synthetic corticosteroid and a selective long-acting beta2-adrenergic receptor agonist. With two active components, Seroflo Inhaler offers various benefits for asthma management. It acts as an anti-inflammatory agent, providing effects that last for at least 12 hours. Seroflo Inhaler is used to treat asthma and may be prescribed to patients who have not seen improvement with other combination therapies or inhalers. Additionally, it is effective for managing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), particularly in moderate to severe cases.

Fluticasone in this medication is intended to prevent inflammation, a primary cause of asthma. Meanwhile, Salmeterol aids in relaxing airway muscles, thus expanding the air passages. Both active ingredients are delivered into the lung's bronchioles, working synergistically to enhance lung function and alleviate asthma symptoms.

Seroflo Inhaler is typically utilized twice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. The prescribed dosage depends on the condition's severity and the patient's age. Before use, shake the inhaler and remove the mouthpiece cover. Avoid exhaling into the device; instead, place the mouthpiece between the lips and take a deep breath in. It is crucial to hold the breath for a few moments after inhalation. Remove the mouthpiece and close it with the cover, then exhale gently.

Do not take an additional puff of the Seroflo Inhaler if you do not taste the medication. Rinse your mouth with water afterward. Adhere to these instructions each time you use the inhaler. Notify your doctor if you have a history of tuberculosis, diabetes, lung infections, or heart disease. Seroflo should only be used for the prescribed duration. If a dose is missed, it can be taken upon remembering, but if it is close to the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one.

The Seroflo Inhaler may lead to side effects such as sore throat, throat irritation, headaches, rapid heartbeat, palpitations, muscle cramps, tremors, and bruising, among others.

The side effects linked with the Seroflo Inhaler are specifically associated with its individual ingredients rather than the combination itself and are generally mild. However, if a patient experiences severe or unusual reactions, they should seek immediate medical attention.
